Events NASCAR Fundraiser Cleanup Help us reach our $10,000 goal!!! Come out and support the Quantico Chapter in ou FIRST fundraiser of the 2008-2009 year. Our area of responsibility will require a minimum of 25 volunteers to get the job done in a timely fashion. The more volunteers we have, the less time it will take us to get done. "Days of Remembrance" for Holocaust Victims
Holocaust Remembrance Day is a day set aside for remembering the victims of the Holocaust and for reminding Americans what can happen to civilized people when bigotry, hatred and indifference reign. The United States Holocaust Memorial Council, created by act of Congress in 1980 (Public Law 96-388), was mandated to lead the nation in civic commemorations and to encourage appropriate Remembrance observances throughout the country. Asian Pacific Heritage Month
In May 1979, President Carter signed a joint resolution declaring the first Asian Pacific American Heritage Week. In 1990, President Bush signed an extension making the weeklong celebration into a month-long event.
